I grew up in the 1960-s era, in San Francisco, lived in the Bay Area during the 1970-s, and now live in Roseville, California. The artists that have inspired me are Peter Max, Maxfield Parrish, Alphonse Mucha, Wassily Kandinsky, Daniel Merriam, Georgia O’Keefe & Salvador Dali.

My ideas come from everyday life – from patterns and images found on the internet; from my sketchbook doodles; from the books I read or from conversations with friends. Nature too, is a constant source of inspiration.

I enjoy creating paintings that people can get lost in. I strive to show movement or emotions, the energy of life, or my own personal moods. I love combining colors to make them “pop” and am obsessed with painting details. Striving to combine all of these elements into my pieces is one of my goals, which pleases me.

While I consider myself a self-taught artist, I was lucky enough to strike gold with William L. Clark, my high school art teacher. I got lucky again and became a student of Pat Abraham, Watermedia Artist, and then Michael Mikolon.
